Then again, maybe I'm just crazy.
Even in the mist of my anger, somewhere inside all of the fury, I found you as a center of calm. I thought of how warm you were the other morning, when I wrapped my arms around you beneath starlight, and held you against the cold. I just wanted you here to calm me, bring me back down from the height of my indignation, and return me to the soft slow tides of a sea of calm. I thought of you, and I had a small eye inside the storm, a peaceful center, where a quiet memory made the whole situation strangely nostalgic. Then again, maybe I'm just crazy.
