Just another writing

short simple words that i have spoken
dancing along my lips

just past my tongue

reaching for ears

and finding

what i was looking for

hoping for

dreaming of

terrified to find

but i said it first

just like last time

and every time

that those words

have danced their way

across what i am

just like this pulses through me

makes me shake

keeps me from breathing

makes the days drag by with longing

because all I want

is to hear you,

hold you,

see you,

be there.

She sat in the corner, her legs folded up tightly against her chest. Her arms hugged them closer to her than she would have thought possible. As she sat there, curled up so as to fill as little space as possible, her eyes and body burned with emotion. Tears pressed hot behind her eyes, begging for a release she would not grant them. She would not cry, she could not cry. She pressed her face into her knees, trying desperately to hold it all in. It seemed like life was too much at that point. It seemed as if all her burdens would force themselves out through her eyes, if only she would let go."This is neither the time nor the place for such things," said the voice in her head. She twisted her body into a tighter knot, feeling herself press more closely into the corner of her room. She looked up to stare at the blurring edges of posters and white walls. Something just wasn't right, and the young woman felt the first warm tear roll down her cheek, and watched her vision clear as it did. The first tear branded its way down her cheek, leaving a glistening trail in its wake, but was soon followed by others in an unchecked flow. The girl felt as though her whole body, her whole soul were being relieved in the action.
