Winter Rose
Breath misting into frost,
a cold blanket of white.
Covering the hills,
gentle breeze in the air.
Silence all around,
thoughts composed.
Amidst this chaos of winter,
a single rose lay sheltered.
White as the snow,
beauty magnified by sun.
How can such a fragile thing,
thrive in such a cruel atmosphere?
Drops of dew,
still bathe it's petals.
Swaying slightly with the wind,
it's beauty captures me.
A perfect singularity,
in an inperfect world.
