pulling threads of myself

are one single rhythm
moving forward
looking behind
taking baby steps
just taking my time
wrapped in this serenity
confident and whole inside
a cloth woven of two
bound in threads of self
linking and twining
never ending patterns
warm earth beneath my feet
heavy mist in the air
the soft breath of fall
whispering in my ears
lush grass continues its growing
and the world is just turning
never mindful of us
not until i make my first steps
